WIWUT: JoePa WILL NEVER DIE

Happy Wednesday. This morning's WIWUT is going to focus on some stories that normally do not appear in this column. With no major Steelers news not already covered, no Pens game, no Pitt basketball game (women's ball doesn't count) and well, it's going to be hard for me to even mention the Pirates.. today our lead story is about a 100 year old man.

Penn State just threw JoePa 3 mo' years. If he makes it the 3 years, he will end his career at 103 years of age.. which is just crazy. Tom Bradley probably just exploded.. as his window can't be open for that much longer to become a head coach (he was hired by PSU in 1979).

JoePa does have a sick record, 383 wins is impressive, even if he only remembers about 16 of those victories. I know this site has a boat load of readers who are PSU alumni, so I should watch how I continue this post. But wouldn't it freak you out of Coach Tomlin called the game from the press box, never interacted with the players on the field and referred to every Steeler by their numbers.

"Number 7 played well at the end.. number 39 couldn't get the running game going.. number 43 was just everywhere.." Wouldn't that be weird? I understand there is an age differnce.. Oh well, congrats PSU, you have your coach for 3 more years.. and good luck in the Rose Bowl.

Ok, enough.. Onto what I woke up to.

The PG: JoePa gets 3 more years.

ESPN: Mitch Berger.. involved in "spit gate".. wait, what?

ESPN: Michael Vick may leave prison next month... to a half-way house.

Madden: The Super Genius weighs in on Tiger Woods' caddy calling Lefty a dick.

Yahoo's Dear Margo: So some Pen's fan has a girlfriend who feels neglected.. so it's time to ask Margo... this is a must read.

The Sporting News: This year's Pro Bowl snubs.

Philly.com: 40 years ago this week, Eagles fans booed Santa.

Jopa will likely make it to 103, he's old as dirt and he's "Old School". In Joe's world it's all about the Team. The Lions don't have names on their back, they wore black high tops up until the late 90's and they still Keep Winning. The NFL scouts know who they are and also know who coached them, what else matters!!
