I am going to start this WIWUT off with a very cliche gimmick we bloggers use.. referencing Facebook. Bare with me..
Before the game started, I did the old Facebook move of updated my status with a sports reference, see the image above. I even mentioned my dog (Rooney).. but, as you can see, Sonny chimed in about 20 minutes later, mentioning that he felt like this game is the one that can kill the season.
Now, I didn't see his response until it was 3-0 in the 3rd period. As Christ as my witness, I was about to type out a response.. something like, "F this team.. how do we suck this bad with Sid and Geno?".. or something along those lines. Right before I click the "Comment" button.. Geno finally gets rewarded for playing like Superman.. so I do not respond to Sonny's comment. And well, the rest is history. Whew..
The Pens came back from 3-0 to win 4-3 in overtime. Malkin with 2 goals and an assist.
Some rando' thoughts on the game last night.. Watching Malkin play like he is a man possessed, while some of the Pens just lolly-gag is very frustrating. What's up with Sid? It appears that he is "on" every other shift.. was his pre-All Star game injury more serious than thought? I thought Satan was going to be a healthy scratch last night? I can care less he had his 1000th game.. that guy is just not working. Luca had another good game IMO.. I am hoping he is up here for the rest of the season.
That's all I got on hockey... onto a lean what I woke up to..

Let's all notice that I said "can" kill things, not "would" kill things.
But didn't it have that first "make or break a season" kind of feel? At 3-0, it seemed like that could be the end of the line.

It just seemed to me that losing to Tampa last night with so little season left would have been a nail in the coffin.

I hate the Trib always did and always prolly will, Its like the Washington Times of the Burgh. That being said I don’t know what to make of all of these new Bonds allegations. I’ve been a Bonds fan all of my life, but yet definitely believe he took performance enhancing drugs during his career. Whether they where steroids or not, I wouldn’t bet my money either way and technically is really nothing more then a argument of semantics. What I do know is according a yahoo article from about 2 or 3 weeks ago it was stated that what he was most known for taking (clear and the cream) was not illegal during the time he was supposedly taking them.
The non destruction of supposed to be destroyed samples, and the non confidentiality of believed to be confidential test is raises my suspicions.. Even half time migraine giver, other half great host Dan Patrick had Bonds back somewhat yesterday.
This is going to be a very interesting, illuminating trial. Did Bonds think he was going to a super GNC or did he know what he was taking was dead wrong?
I already know the government has a vendetta. But the question of the case is still the question of the case.
