Apparently, we at The Terrible Blog have been pondering our next post for more than a month and this is what we came up with:What is your favorite NCAA tournament run of all time?
Sadly, most of the best Pitt runs have happened at MSG. But this isn't a Pitt exclusive question. One of the many great qualities of The Madness is that brackets, TV exposure and the sheer excitement of the games gives us a chance to latch on to another team.
That said, here are my Fave 5 ... what are yours?
5.) '04 Pitt Panthers -- It's hard to choose between Sweet 16 exits, but this one felt like it had the most promise. Okie State, revenge is ours.
4.) '94 Arkansas Razorbacks -- Fell in love with the 'Backs and gambling at the same time. Nice run in my bracket and I liked Nolan Richardson, for some reason. And they beat Duke.
3.) '09 Pitt Panthers -- I think I'm allowed to do this and I hope it moves up on the list. But just seeing the #1 next to Pitt and surviving the first weekend is enough for me. Have we mention on here that Blair is a MONSTER? Maybe we should reiterate.
2.) '90 UNLV -- They beat Duke too. Crushed them in fact. I don't know if there will ever be a more fun (or corrupt) team in my lifetime. The Rebs beat Loyola Marymount something like 131-101 in the Elite 8. Defense was set back centuries and I loved it.
1.) '02 Indiana Hoosiers -- My alma mater totally shocked me by making a run right through Duke (notice a theme here?) only to lose to Maryland in the championship. Still a lot of fun though... Jared Jeffries surrounded by a ton of mediocre role players.

I gotta co-sign your 90 Running Rebels squad Sonny. Wether it be the Gennis classic Coach K Basketball or just non digitized feelings that squad was cool as F***. In my view they where a pseudo pre curser to the Michigan teams in influence and I couldn’t but help but root for Tark. Besides ANYBODY that crushes Duke is a friend of mind. Word to pictures in the sauna with Boosters.
